From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In international relations, aid (also known as international aid, overseas aid, foreign aid, economic aid or foreign assistance) is – from the perspective of governments – a voluntary transfer of resources from one country to another. Aid may serve one or more functions: it may be given as a signal of diplomatic approval, or to strengthen a military ally, to reward a government for behavior desired by the donor, to extend the donor's cultural influence, to provide infrastructure needed by the donor for resource extraction from the recipient country, or to gain other kinds of commercial access. Finance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Finance is the process of channeling money from savers and investors to entities that need it. Savers and investors have money available which could earn interest or dividends if put to productive use. Finance deals with how and why an individual, company or government acquires the money needed – called capital in the company context – and how they spend or invest that money. In academia, finance refers to the study of the securities and derivatives markets, and the institutions that serve as intermediaries to those markets and enable the flow of money through the economy. It is also the study of how to determine the value of assets such as stocks, bonds, loans, and by extension entire companies.
